Tunga Mahavidyalaya was established in 1967. It is one of the oldest private aided colleges in Shivamogga District, Thirthahalli Taluk, Malenadu Region. It is established to cater to the needs of male and female students belonging to diverse socio-economic backgrounds and is designed for the moral, intellectual, spiritual and social, emotional and all-round development of its students. Located in the foothills of Anandgiri, it is a prestigious college situated beside the Tunga river.
